Giddapahar tea estate is known for its equisite and characteristic Darjeeling teas grown from the century old china bushes. This first flush teas are some of the most famous and sought after teas in the world. This tea has a complex flavor of floral and grassy note with subtle astringency, which are the characteristics of an excellent Darjeeling tea.

About the Estate. Giddapahar is located short of Kurseong. The height of the garden is at 4864 feet above sea level. The 110 acre family owned tea estate is known to produce some of the finest Darjeeling Teas. The garden was purchased by the Shaw family in 1888 and has remained with them since. The plantation has China, Clonal and Assam bushes, in fact it has some of the oldest China bushes. Giddapahar is known to produce some outstanding muscatel teas during the second flush. They make small batches of Green Tea which is exported and is always in high demand.
